'New Year Yin Yoga Reset' with Maria Hochnowski

As the Holidays come to an end and deep winter takes over, we start to turn the gaze inwards….

In this on-demand workshop Maria will guide you through a carefully curated sequence of Yin postures targeting fascia and muscle tension with focus on areas surrounding the spine and hips. We will dive deep into our inner landscapes, challenge the ego and investigate the art of being still.

Yin Yoga is a calm, meditative and grounding Yoga practice where you’ll get the opportunity to dive deep into both your physical and mental space. Through long holds in mostly seated and reclined postures Yin Yoga can help relieve stress, anxiety, trouble sleeping, release muscle tension and re-energize your body and mind. Essential for bone health- Yin Yoga also has a de-stressing effect on the central nervous system and creates general well-being in the body.

Perfect either before or after a vinyasa practice, practiced on its own or as just-the-right ending to your day- Yin Yoga is pure balm for the soul.

This is an all-level class designed as an introduction to the Yin Yoga practice. Variations and modifications with be offered throughout the class.

Props needed: Real or makeshift- two blocks, a bolster, blankets and pillows. The more the merrier.

This Workshop will be available as an ENCORE Replay for one week, giving participants an opportunity to practice or re-practice at their own choosing. Links for the livestream will be sent via email 15-30min before start time, Encore links will be sent just after livestream ends.
